This is a meeting of “colles” (groups of friends) who gather to commemorate the National Day of Catalonia and to have lunch at the Parc del Graó, where they make the traditional dish of “Catxipanda” (a casserole made with pepper, aubergine, onion, tomato, snails and various types of meat – which usually include: rabbit, chicken, sausage, quail, and pork chops). The ingredients may vary depending on the chefs. This is a casserole that was traditionally cooked out in the country, using whatever ingredients were available. This year sees the 40th edition of this event.
