The Gold of the River Segre: in Search of Mariam’s Dream
Discovery of the footprint of Andalusian Balaguer at the Museum of La Noguera, a walk through the historic centre, a visit to the Centre for Interpreting the Gold of the River Segre and the experiences of those searching for gold on the river. Tasting of olive oil from the mills of La Noguera and of DO Costers del Segre wine. Also held on 2nd May and 6th June. Activity postponed until further notice.

Festival and Procession of the Verge dels Dolors
The Festival of the Mare de Déu dels Dolors (Our Lady of Sorrow) is celebrated on the Friday before Good Friday and associated events are held throughout the weekend. During this festival, there will be a number of traditional and cultural activities. Mass (12 pm), celebration of The Word, in honour of the Suffering of the Virgin Mary (6 pm), ringing of the church bells (9 pm), procession and mustering of the Armats (Roman soldiers), gathering of all the “passos” (9.30 pm), and the Great Procession of Penitence (10 pm).
