The Festival of the Mare de Déu dels Dolors (Our Lady of Sorrow) is celebrated on the Friday before Good Friday and associated events are held throughout the weekend. During this festival, there will be a number of traditional and cultural activities. Mass (12 pm), celebration of The Word, in honour of the Suffering of the Virgin Mary (6 pm), ringing of the church bells (9 pm), procession and mustering of the Armats (Roman soldiers), gathering of all the “passos” (9.30 pm), and the Great Procession of Penitence (10 pm).
